DEBORAH PROJECT

Who is Deborah?

Deborah is a beautiful tender little girl. She is four years old, and was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when she was nine month old. Despite her situation, she has a great destiny in God, who is using her to touch many families. Deborah has 3 siblings, and she is the youngest.

Bringing Hope To Families With Disabled Children

Project Deborah exists to help families with special needs children. Here in Mexico, there are many families with children who’ve been diagnosed with debilitating conditions such as Cerebral Palsy or Down Syndrome, many of whom do not have access to the medical treatment, support, or training that a family would have across the border in the United States. These families are often in very hopeless situations, but they have the desire to give their children a better life. Often times it is comforting just to know that they are not alone, and that there are other families who are dealing with the same things.

After their daughter was diagnosed with Cerebral palsy at 9 months of age, The Flores family took a difficult situation, and began to use it for good. They have been able to touch many lives that they would have otherwise had no way to touch. They have been able to speak with authority that there is hope for the families with Special needs children. They have been building a network of caregivers and social assistance agencies, which have been offering support and training to these families.

Through all of this, the Flores family has continued in a commitment to learning all they can to help their daughter, and to train families in similar situations. They have been having monthly meetings, and there have been families driving several hours to participate. They have worked with therapists on both sides of the border and in Cuba to learn various types of therapy, which they can share with other families. Because of this ministry, various local churches have set up facilities to help and to welcome these families.

Please consider partnering with Project Deborah through a regular or one-time gift. Your gift will help enable this ministry to touch more families and with greater impact. You can help families who are in very difficult situations find the help and support they are looking for, and show them God’s love in a very real and practical way. Help us bring God’s hope to families with disabled children.
