Sometimes we get busy and forget about God. I think that’s what I did. I forgot to thank Him for my life and a new day, for a meal on my plate. I was very selfish and cared mostly for material items. I started working young and never finished my studies. I also married young and began having children. My husband began using drugs and fell ill. All of the sudden he wasn’t working and all the responsibilities fell on me. I tried using a visa to be able to work in the US but they quickly took it away from me. I was desperate one day and cried out to God to please rescue me and forgive me. I started cleaning homes for work to make ends meet. Around that time, a friend told me about a place that builds homes for needy families. I couldn’t believe it and knew I had to reach out to them for help. It was God’s grace that I found your beautiful mission. Thankfully, my husband is now sober and we are attempting to start fresh. A safe home for our family would be a dream come true.
