Letter from the family:
To whom it may concern, I, Alejandra, and my husband, Jose, write you this letter to ask for your support. Together we have four children. The shack that we live in is not in the conditions we desire to raise our kids. We only have one small room made with wood framing. We do not have a cement floor. We don’t have a bathroom within our house… and with our income, we cannot afford the construction of a new house as well as continue the payments on our land.
The income my husband earns is barely enough to pay for our land, for our kids to go to school, and the groceries we need to survive week to week. On occasion I also go out to sell clothes that some people donate in order to contribute to our income. We ask graciously for help and that you would please consider helping us build a new home.
