Letter from the family:

Hello, I will like to share a little about how I came to ask for help to Homes of Hope, in iur family we are 5 people, in my first marriage I had a daughter, but needed to be separated because of physical abuse and infidelity, two years later I decided to run away from the situation and a year later I met my partner at the moment Yair Ibarra, everything was going ok until I got pregnant and during my pregnancy tests they found out I was HIV positive, it was really bad news for our family and my partner, he went under some studies for he is not positive, when I mentioned it to my uncle and his wife since we were leaving with them, they did not allowed us to stay with them anymore since they rhought it was contagious to live with me, so we asked my partner's family for help to live with them but they did not approve that their son is in a realtionship with someone that is HIV positive. A friend of our my partner lend us a mobile home and we decided to start paying a land, once we were done paying, we started building a little room made of wood, where it is super cold and with the wind can be extremely dusty and wet during the rainy season. We have not yet being able to start building anything better, because of my treatment, needing to invest in going to the General Hospital in Tijuana and have frequent check ups both my daughter and myself, buying medicines blood check, viral load check-ups, which are very expensive for us to pay for. For this reasons I am requesting your help because we are in need of a house and to build a home to be able to give to our daughters.

Letter from the family: I would like to share a little bit about how I met my husband, we are from Chiapas South Mexico and met here in Tijuana, we were friends for a year started messaging each other and after a year he decided to speak with my mother and her husband to ask for permission to date me, after some time my parents separated and I decided to go and live with Diego, we went to Chiapas to get married and start our married life, we lived with my in-laws, after a month I found out that we were pregnant and had our baby boy Jordan Alberto, he is a happy little boy, he like animals and by the time he was four months old we decided to move back to Tijuana because there is no work in south Mexico and we couldn’t provide for our son. I spoke with my mother and she let us stayed with her, my husband found a job, but 6 months later the person that was lending the land to my mother required the land back and we only had 15 days to leave, at this moment we already had a little room that we out together, but we needed to return the land to the owner, so we had no place to go, after searching for a land we decided in December 2019 to give the down payment for our own land, but I got sick and found a cyst in my ovaries and we have been paying for the treatment and the land so there is no money left for us to be able to start building anything in our land, that is one of the main reasons I am reaching out for your help. I pray that God will continue to bless you for everything that you do to help others in need.

Letter from the family: My wife and I currently live in Rosarito it was extremely hard to pay rent, so we decided to move to Rosarito, I started working in a manufacturing company, but I have a disease, and it was very hard to maintain a job, but my wife found a job as a housekeeper, and then she told me she was pregnant, so I asked my dad for help since he is a carpenter helper to help us out and start paying for a piece of land in order to give my child a better opportunity, as soon as my wife gave birth she was out of work because the person that hired her did not want any children with the employees, so we had to look for cheap wood, pieces here and there, and we have built a small room that is full of holes and not in a very safe condition, so a neighbor told us about Homes of Hope and that is the reason we are reaching out for help. Thanks in advance.

Letter from the family: Hello Homes of Hope team, my name is Karla Sanchez, my husband is Alberto Zamacona, we have two daughters Amber and Dafne, we are from Mexico City, we have been living in Tijuana for three years, and the reason we moved was that we needd to search for better oppotunities for our family, but we encounter that we have no opportunity to have a house on our own. Our daughter Amber was born with cleft palet and that was one of the reasons we moved as well to come and treat her in Hospital de las Californias, to give her treatment and a possible surgety. Sadly the insurance will not cover the sickness or treatment, that is why we are asking for help to make sure that we can leave something for our daughters. I appreciate you taking the time to help us and this is our little family story.

To whom it may concern I write to you to ask for your help with a home of hope, I would like to share a bit about how we came here from south Mexico since we did not have any job opportunities or a good salary, and by your help we can provide my family a better future and a better life opportunities. We are not from Tijuana, we came from South Mexico after speaking with my sister, and she told us that we could come and live with them in their house in order to get a better future for our family, everything worked good for the first month, since she wanted us to save to buy a land and then start building in order to improve our family situation. As I said everything was good for the first month then she started demanding that we pay her bills and land, so with our little savings we started to pay, but that left us with no saving for our land. She will play music since early in the morning and made us take care of everything that was needed around her house, one day we got into a huge fight and she kicked us out of her house, as hurt as I was I asked God for help, and a neighbor that saw everything invited us into her house, letting us sleep in her son's room while he sleeps in the kitchen at night. They do not have enough space for them, but they are being such a blessing to let us stay there. The situation is hard because we know that is not our home, and we need to find something for ourselves, my husband has a loan, and we were able to give the down payment for our land and start the monthly payments. It is sad that my child feels so sad because we can afford to buy anything for her since we are using all our income to help them pay for bills, food and our land. I have faith that God will not leave us through this hard moments and that at some point we will be able to provide a better living situation and future for our family, I would like to thank you in advance for all your help and for being a blessing to my family and many others. Hello my name is Enedina Roque Sanchez I am 32 years old, and I’m married to Nicolas Quinta Mariano, we have 3 children, Kenia 15 yrs. old, Angel 11 yrs. old, and Mariana 8 yrs. old. We came here from Oaxaca in South Mexico looking for a better life and job opportunities since in the South there is little work, and the salary is extremely low. We both work taking turns to take care of our family and their needs, but so far, we have not been able to build a decent place for them to live in, because the building materials are quite expensive for our budget and we are paying the land where we want to build for our family, and we must give 2000 pesos monthly payment towards out land (100 dlls). During this time of pandemic, we had to remove our children from school because we do not have computers yet the least money to pay for internet. Due to our situation, we are reaching out for help from homes of hope to help us built a home and a better for our children. I pray that you would be able to help us, and I trust God that he is always faithful to us. God Bless you

Letter from the family: We are a family of seven, my five children, my wife and myself. We arrived in 2017,fleeing from Honduras, were my brother was killed, my youngest sister was present when he was killed at that same moment they took her and told her that they were going to start killing all the family, she was able to make it home and ran to tell us, so that same day we fled. We requested Mexico for political asylum, due that all our life and family was endangered.

Since day one in Tijuana we tried to look for any help possible to help my family, but sadly we haven’t been able to achieve a lot because I can’t find a steady job since I only went to school until 3rd grade. The only job I have at this moment is going out with the neighbors to help them in anything they need and mostly I get a one or two days job making a total of 200 pesos (10 dollars a week.)

My children weren’t able to enroll into school this year because we moved to our land and there was no space for them in the school that is near our land.

I want my children to get an education and help them have a better life, because not being able to go to school as myself and my wife that never attended, it just makes life hard on all.

By getting this new home and opportunity will help me focus on raising my children and my wife taking care of them, not being worried that when it rains we get soaking wet inside our house and the little we have gets ruined by the water.

Having a home will make me feel at peace to make sure that my family is safe and make sure that my children are able to go to school. I really want to improve my family’s situation since it is really embarrassing to have to take my child to help me read or write in anything that I need in order to work and with any job that I might get be able to buy school supplies for my children as well and just to make sure that I meet their basic needs as a happy family that we are like food, safety and shelter.

To whom it may concern, I am contacting you to request your help with an opportunity to have a house, I will like to tell you about my current situation. My husband died on June 29, 2020 leaving me with my four children, Mauricio 18 yrs old. David 15 yrs old, Alberto 9 yrs old. and Salvador 5 yrs old. Shortly before my husband passed away we applied for a Homes of Hope, but we were investing our little savings to start building in our land, but since he got sick we spent all the money in his treatment because we did not have insurance for him. He passed away because he had renal insufficiency and due to the pandemic everything got worse.

Since all our saving and any income we were working to have was spent in my husband’s sickness we couldn’t afford to build anything more in our home, in the little room that we were able to live in our land, we were attached to the main electric pole, but we were having an electric shortage in our home that made really worried since I don’t want to have any accidents in my family, but is the only way I can assure electricity for my home.

At his moment I am only working two times a week cleaning a house, because my two younger kids are still quite sensible about losing their dad, my salary is only $800 pesos ($40 dlls) a week working the houses I clean, my oldest son has a job and he makes $70 dlls a week and helps me support the family by giving me $50 dlls.

I hope I was able to share a bit about what is happening in our family’s life and that you will consider helping us, I know and I am very thankful that God has given me the blessing to know about this ministry and opportunity.

I greatly appreciate your help and being willing to be such a blessing to my life. May God bless you abundantly.

We have a child that has become ill, because of his sensitivity to weather changes and he’s most of the time sick, that has been super hard on us.

We were living in a small rental room, but we decided to start paying our own little piece of land so we needed to move into the motor home, it hasn’t been easy and we have been working extremely hard to achieve our dream.

We are very enthusiastic about starting a new chapter in our lives by receiving this new home and opportunity, because it will be a dream come true for our family.

We work and with our low salaries we pay our bills and try to give the best as possible to our children even when sometimes it's very difficult. We try and work harder when needed. We are a team. I will like you to consider us to help us with our dream of helping our family to give them the best we can and give them a better quality of life with the great blessing or having a house to live.

Letter from the family:

Hello,

I hope that you are doing well, truly I am asking for your help and support because I have a very difficult situation at the moment. We use to live as a family in a little place where they lend it to us, but now the owners are coming and they need us to move out. During the time of living in this place I was able to buy a small land, but I have no funds to start building, we used to live in the house that was lend to us for several years, so I was able to pay for the land but no extra to start building. Both my wife and I are working but our wage its quite low and we cant afford any other expenses because we have five children that we have to support. Thank you

Letter from the family: To all who are part of Homes of Hope I will like to share a little bit of my personal story. I am from Tepachula, Chiapas in South Mexico. I have three children, two boys and a girl. In 2006 I had problems with my wife and we decided to separate from each other and she went to live with her mother and the children, during three years I did not know where they were or anything about them until I finally knew they were here in Tijuana, so I came looking for them. Once I found them my ex-wife and myself spoke and came to the agreement that I could have them for a month, so I took them to south Mexico to spend some time with them, when it was time to come back, my children did not wanted to go back to their mother who was already remarried and had another child. They stayed with me in South Mexico, my mother helped me to take care of them and they were taken to school because they did not know how to read or write, sadly two years ago I had to move back to Tijuana because of the economic situation in South Mexico is very difficult I couldn’t afford to take care of my children with the little money I was making, when I came to Tijuana I was renting a little room with my brother in law and my nephew, but they got a land and we helped them with the down payment, so we all live in a small room, but he is bringing his wife back with him from the south, so we need to move out, I have requested help from the government, but they need the mother to request not the father, because the little money I make has to be sent to my family and mother in the South because I have two brothers in need of dialysis and my oldest daughter is going to school to become a nurse, even when she goes to a public school, she still needs help to pay for her needs and school, sometimes I end my days without anything left and needing my children to be here so we can be a family. I really want to be close to my family and be able to live in a safe place, especially knowing that there are hard times ahead and we need to be together to help each other. Thank you very much for considering helping me and my family, may God bless you.
