Letter from the family: Hello!!! my name is Oscar, my family and I came from the south of Mexico to this city in search of a better life many years a go. Back in the south we used to work in the fields harvesting. Sometimes I miss that life style but here I've learned to like my job beause I get to help others too. At the beggining when we came to Tijuana we were living with my wife's brother then we started renting but rents are very high in Tijuana and we really long for something we can call our own. My job doesn't give me any healthcare insurance or bank loans to build something on our own, that's why we ask for your help. Thank you so much for this opportunity and for everything you do, for considering us for this blessing! God bless you always!!

Hello! we are the family Shanchez Bueno. We have always lived from our work, always fighting for our children. God has provided everything we need daily, we've desired to live in better conditions but we haven't been able to accomplish it on our own. We've seen God do miracles in other people's lives that's why we don't give up and I know some day he will send us the help we need. Right now when it rains we have to leave our land because otherwise it's hard to get out of the area, even walking. When this happens we have to go to the near town and park somewhere to sleep in our van. We tell eachother not to be sad because better times will come for us and then we sleep peacefully and calm. Sometimes they've stolen things from our land but we don't give up, we keep fighting. Thank you so much for helping us and for considering us for a Hope of Hope!

The structure of that house is not very safe and it's very desolated so there are a lot of dangerous animals in the area. There was a point when we had to live in our car to find shelter because we didn't have a place to live in. Our expenses don't allow us to save money for a build so your generosity would help us have the stable home that we long for. Thank you so much for considering us for a Home of Hope. It would bring such a positive change in our lives and it would allow us to start a new season full of hope and unity.

Letter from the family:

We are the Ramírez González family. I'm Ana, 23 years old, and my husband Jose, also 23 years old, along with our daughter Alexa, 4 years old. We arrived in Tijuana just 4 years ago, originally from Guanajuato. We had to leave our lives there abruptly due to threats from a cartel. With only what we could carry, including our newborn daughter, Alexa, who was just 1 month old at the time, we fled. My husband's father helped us by paying for bus tickets to Tijuana after we were threatened, robbed, and my husband was beaten. Upon arrival, we stayed briefly with a cousin of my husband's before renting a small house. We struggled to afford food and diapers. Eventually, we sought a piece of land to own, as rent was too high. We found one and moved, building a small room with scavenged materials. We slept on the floor, fearing for our safety. Now, after two years, we've made some progress, even having a place to cook. However, life remains difficult, and we seek your help to provide a safer place for our daughter to sleep. Your assistance would mean a lot to us as we strive to give her a better life. Thank you very much.

I am reaching out to you seeking assistance in obtaining a small home. My family has been living on our property for the past four years, and though we constructed a small room to live in, the person who lent us the wood is now requesting it back. Our current dwelling is very modest, and when it rains, it leaks profusely. Additionally, we lack flooring in our home. Unfortunately, my husband's income hasn't been sufficient to afford us better living conditions. Moreover, due to a heart condition, I am unable to work.

I am immensely grateful for all the support you provide to those in need. In the past, I sought help from another organization, but they failed to assist me, leading me to believe they were fraudulent, preying on the impoverished. Your aid would mean the world to us.

Thank you for considering our situation.

FAMILY INFORMATION:

MOTHER: Patsy

Age: 25 years old

Job: factory

Salary Weekly: $175US

CHILDREN

Alexa - 9years old

Letter from the family:

My name is Patsy, I'm 25 years old, and I've been living in Rosarito since I was 9. Before that, I lived in Acapulco, Puebla, and Nayarit with my mom's family, as my parents separated due to my father's physical abuse fueled by alcoholism. We settled in a small wooden room upon arriving. Communication with my mom has always been strained; she blames me for her unhappiness with her partners and often kicked me out, claiming she regretted having me. At 14, I moved in with my boyfriend, who is now the father of my 9-year-old daughter, Alexa. Back then, I worked in markets until I turned 18, and while living with him at his mother's house, I worked tirelessly, resting only one day a week. I left him due to infidelity when Alexa was two, staying briefly with my mom, who also mistreated her. Witnessing her abuse led me to seek solace in drugs, until my uncle intervened and admitted me to rehab. Determined to improve, I turned to church, completed my secondary education, and pursued various courses. Despite facing hardships, I strive to provide for Alexa. After being kicked out by my mom, I lived with my grandmother until she begged me to return, which I did. Despite a verbally abusive three-year relationship, I finally left my ex when I learned of his infidelity and my pregnancy. Despite his refusal to take responsibility, I chose to keep the baby, now three months along, and aspire to build a better future. I dream of owning a house and continuing my education. I currently take caregiving courses to support us. I hope for justice for my daughter and pray for our home's protection.

My name is Jenis Lizbeth. I am married with two children: a 6-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl. We come from Guerrero state and have been living in Rosarito for four years. We moved to Tijuana because there are no job opportunities in Guerrero. We bought a piece of land here in Rosarito on installments, but I haven't been able to build on it yet because I'm paying rent and saving up for the land. My husband works and has appointments at IMSS (Mexican Social Security Institute), where they deduct his day's pay when he goes. I also go to IMSS for medical consultations because I suffer from headaches for about a year now. At my job, when I take leave, they deduct my pay, making it harder for me to save. I would appreciate it if it were possible for you to help us build a small house for my family to live in.

My name is Maria Guadalupe Palma Valente, and I am writing to request assistance in building a home for myself and my 11-year-old son. As a single mother, I am unable to undertake construction efforts. Four years ago, I separated from my partner and moved to Tijuana to live with my brother, who kindly provided us with a place to stay. Three years ago, I made the best decision of my life by purchasing land, with the hope of one day living there with my son in our own home. Witnessing my son's happiness as we strive to make payments on the land fills me with joy. However, I find it challenging to manage both the land payments and the construction costs. Despite this, I remain steadfast in my faith that, by God's will, we will one day have a home of our own.

Letter from the family:

Dear brothers and sisters,

I come from Chiapas with my family. Currently, I have two daughters, one aged 4 and the other 1 year and 2 months. Both were premature, one born at 24 weeks and the other at 28 weeks. It has been a very sad situation for us as we lack insurance, our own home, or a stable income. We run a birria stall, which sometimes does well, but it's challenging for my husband and me to manage while taking care of our daughters. Despite difficulties, we never cease working, rain or shine, to make ends meet, even if it means going without food at times.

We desperately seek support for housing as we struggle to find affordable places that accept children. Currently, we rent a house where we also work to lower the rent, but it's not enough to save for our own home. We are not perfectionists, but hard workers. I sell used clothes to stretch our income, and our daughters are our everything. When they fall ill, it's tough as I care for them while my husband, much older than me, works tirelessly despite his age and sciatic nerve pain. We support each other through thick and thin.

We sincerely hope for your assistance as we are a humble family striving for a better life together, especially for our daughters whom we aim to guide onto the right path, instilling in them faith in God. I believe our encounter with you serves a higher purpose set by Him. God never forsakes us; He is always by our side, even in our toughest times.

With heartfelt gratitude, The Gómez Pérez Family

Letter from the family:

Greetings from the Villa Álvarez family, may the peace of Christ be with you. In the midst of despair, a new hope emerged for my beautiful family and me. I would like to express why having our own home is crucial. Renting and constantly moving with two children is exhausting, especially when faced with the challenge of not having a place to call our own, enduring complaints about noise from our little ones. While we are grateful for the kindness of the church community where we currently reside, we long for our own space and privacy.

God has been faithful in answering our prayers and providing for our needs. As a young Christian household, we humbly request your support, knowing that prayers bring blessings and strengthen faith. To whoever reads this letter, we declare blessings upon your family and life, as well as upon the foundation and all those involved in supporting us. Words cannot suffice to express our gratitude, but we trust that Christ the King will reward you abundantly.

Blessings from the Villa Álvarez family.

MOTHER: Maria Gpe

Age: 29 years old

Job: Security guard

Weekly salary: $187 US

Kaelhy - 10 years old

Kailani - 1 year old

Letter from the family:

Hello my name is Maria Guadalupe!!! I'm 29 years old and I have 2 children. A 10 year old daughter and another one that's 1 year old and 4 months. Right now I work as a security guard. I work 12 hours a day so I can cover all of the basic needs of my children like food and clothing. I don't receive any help from the father of my children since he is submerged in addictions and he doesn't work or take care of his children or visits them. Sometime a go I had the opportunity of buying a piece of land always thinking of the well being of my children, so they have a home but it's really difficult for me alone to be able to build a house fot them. It's a dream for me and for them to have their own room and that they have a warm and comfortable place for them and I know that with God's help it is going to be possible. My children stay with my mom when I have to go to work. She lets them sleep in a mattres in their living room while I get there. My parents are not wealthy either, their house is very little and they are older. They don't work, my mom is dissabled bcause she got ran over and can't work since a while a go. My dad suffered a heart attack a while a go to and thank God he survived but he can't work either. I help them with whatever I can since they help me take care of the children while I work. I help them with food and medicine. I work really hard to support my children and I don't complain about it. I will keep working until I can't anymore, until God allows me to. Right now is impossible for me to offer them a home that's why I dare to ask for your help. I know a lot of people need your assistance but God knows my heart and I know he hears me and he doesn't let me go he never has. I know you receive a lot of requests for aid and you see different cases of people but really only God knows how much we need your help. I do this for my children for their well being, so I can offer them a roof. No child should go through any suffering in this life and that's why we are here as parents but I ask God for help so I can take care of them and give them a good life, which is whatthey deserve. Thank you so much for your help!!!! God bless you so much!!!
