Outreach PHASE
Once the Campus Phase is complete, take what you learned in the Sports and Fitness DTS classroom into immediate real-world practice in the Outreach Phase.
During this 8-week mission trip, you’ll travel to a new destination to apply the concepts you learned during the Campus Phase and use your mission talents to communicate God’s love and serve communities untouched by his story.
Our outreach activities will include using sports / fitness as a tool to evangelize. As you dive deeper into a vibrant relationship with God, you’ll find that your natural gifts and passions can lead you to powerful opportunities to impact people in every sphere of society and gain a deeper revelation about your identity in Christ.

How does Sports and Fitness fit into discipleship?
Many of the same principles we use in our spiritual formation also apply to physical training and vice versa. Just as we need discipline and passion in the sports we play and in our workouts, we also need to learn to be disciplined in our spiritual walk and have a zeal for God. As we all know, sports and fitness brings so much out of us that we sometimes didn’t know was there before, and God also wants to use that as a tool to shape our character, to form us into the ‘image of God’.
The DTS is still focused on discipleship, we just add in extra times in the week to have fun together with team sports, do workouts together to stay healthy physically and we learn how to use this as a tool to evangelize and reach others with the gospel.
