Come volunteer with us for the opportunity of a lifetime!


Short-term volunteers, or "Mission Volunteers" as we call them, are welcome to join us for any period of time between one week and three months. They primarily serve at our campus, in a variety of ways. However, they also have the opportunity to get off campus and do ministry in the local community, with our staff, at least once a week. If you would like to volunteer, it is necessary to complete all the application steps below.

We provide food, housing, and pick up/drop off in San Diego, California. You must be at least 18 years of age. We will contact you after we receive your application! Thank you for your desire to serve. 


1. Complete the application

2. Fill out forms

You are going to have to fill out, and have others fill out, several forms. Once completed, you can mail them all in together to the address above.


3. Background check

We are required to conduct background checks. Fill out the Hire Safe form so we can complete this process. It is clearly marked to show you which pages to keep and which to send back to us.

Please note: If you are a resident of California, you will need to fill in page 4 of the form. Other state residents can skip that page. If you are Canadian, please go to your local RCMP or Police Station and have a police/abuse record check sent in to us.


4. Passport

Send us a scanned copy of your passport. (All short-term volunteers need to have a passport while serving in Mexico). 


5. Insurance

Send us a copy of your medical insurance card. If you don't have insurance, Contact Us to find out how you can get on our plan while you're here.


6. Send us your picture

Send us a recent photo of yourself.
