Hello my name is Gabriela Esquivel Casarrubias, I am from Acapulco, Guerrero. I came to Tijuana seeking new job and life opportunities and a better future for my family. In my current living situation we live as a family, my dad, mom, nephew and niece with their baby, my husband, my two children and myself. When it rains it pours and drips everywhere, since the tarp we have as a roof has a lot of rips. When I bought the land there was a wall already, there is where I put the pieces of wood to make a wall and my neighbor let me use their fence to use as another wall. I am still paying for my land and paying for my children’s school tuition do it has been really hard to be able to build anything since the house expenses are a lot for our salary. The ones that work in my family are my dad, husband and myself, my dad works as a construction worker and my husband works as a taxi driver, I work with the beauty in a beauty parlor and she let's me go and take care of my kids whenever is needed, my mom is not able to work because of her sickness, she is diagnosed with diabetes and she has to take care of my nephew during the day as well. At this moment I'm not able to take my child to school because his school l it's far away and I'm pregnant and my pregnancy has been causing struggles in my help so I'm afraid that I might loose him on the way or just faint.
