We are a small family, we have a son that is in fourth grade, but has a speech underdevelopment and has a three-year delay in his cognitive development, at this point is difficult for him to follow up in school because he does not know how to read or write, there have been many ways that his teachers have helped him achieve his learning goals, but still there is a notorious unbalance in his learning. Since he was little, he developed a skin reaction that produces a lot of rashes and itching and he scratches until he bleeds, there has been many studies done to him, but they find nothing, and the last visit was to a neurologist in order to ask for more help. My husband Gerardo takes care of my son Miguel, he does some small jobs for our neighbors and doesn’t get paid enough, at this moment he is not able to work because he has an inguinal hernia that makes him quite painful for him to work and he does the best he can to support us. Six months ago, I requested a loan in order to buy material for some walls and build a small room in the land that we purchased, we do not have our own electrical connection and a neighbor allows us to connect to her electricity paying a monthly fee. Since we were informed about Homes of Hope, we have been praying after we applied because we truly need the support in order to have a better future.
