Greetings, my name is Jazmin. I use to live in Michoacan, but moved to Rosarito for a better life and because I thought I could find a good job here. I use to be a single mom and I just wanted to give my daughter a nice life. When I moved here, I came with my dad. At first everything was okay but then one day he asked me to leave his house. I had no where to go until a friend offered me temporary housing with her. Eventually, I also met my partner and we got a piece of land together. We have been saving up and buying building supplies as we are able. We have a bathroom finally and electricity, too. It has been hard work and we have struggled so much. All we have is a small room, we don’t really fit there. I found out that I am pregnant. We want a better place for our children to live but we don’t have the resources to do so.
