Hello, my name is Adelina. I have two children, a 7 and 13 year old. Two years ago we moved to Rosarito where my parents have lived a long time. I’m no longer with my husband as our relationship turned physically, verbally, and mentally abusive. I had enough one day and left him to have a fresh start. In the beginning, everything was going okay. Over time my parents started to tell me that I needed to find a new place to live and I had no idea what to do. I understood that day that I was on my own, no support from anyone, and that I needed to find my way. I took a chance and started a barber shop course in Tijuana. Now, I use a small spot inside of my house to cut hair so that I never have to be without my kids. It’s going okay right now, praise God. I am trying my hardest! I was able to save money up to put a down payment on a piece of land and now I make a land payment there every month. I’m trying my hardest but it’s been very challenging.
