Our family is like many; we don’t have the financial resources to be able to buy or rent. The cost of living in this border area are extremely elevated. As parents, we are doing everything we can to provide for our daughter but it is so difficult to make a land payment at the same time you’re trying to build a home. Apart from all that, we’re paying rent and utilities plus food and diapers. Where we currently live- we share a single home with two other families. It’s the only way to make ends meet. Having a home of our home would completely change the quality of our lives. Right now, my husband is the only one working as I look after our little girl and also am taking university courses to hopefully better our lives eventually.
