Hello, we are the Torres Velazquez family. We would like to tell you a little about ourselves and why we feel we need a Homes of Hope house. My name is Jorge, my wife’s name is Margarita, and our daughter is named Gretel. We are a young family but with so many dreams and goals. Since coming to Tijuana, we have always rented a space to live. Everything is very expensive and many times, landlords treat their renters very poorly and evict them unexpectedly. Because of this, we decided it was time to purchase land of our own. We are unable to afford a land payment, the cost of building a home, all while renting. We will not lose hope!
