Hello, we are the Martinez Mejia family. We are originally from the state of Morelos in Mexico but migrated to Tijuana in 2014. We arrived not knowing anyone and started off by selling candy outside our then 4 year old son’s school. Little by little and with the help of kind people- we were able to make a food stand at a swap meet where we sold quesadillas. We were doing okay until the pandemic hit, then we were forced to close our business. Several months back, we were finally able to open our business again with the help of an aunt. I had to be on bed rest due to a high risk pregnancy; our son was born premature but is now okay. Money is very tight right now and we don’t have enough to make ends meet. My husband is currently sick and in treatment. Our biggest dream is to offer our kids a better quality of life. We live in a small room where we get rained on and where the wind enters from every angle. We are so happy to be able to present our situation to you, we pray you are able to help us.
