Hello, my name is Patssy and I’m a single mom to 4 kids. We’ve been in Tijuana for 5 years now and came searching for a better life. We are originally from Southern Mexico but needed to leave because we weren’t safe. My greatest dream has always been to provide my kids with a safe home. Once we arrived in Tijuana, everything started to change and my ex-husband began abusing me and our children and also became involved in drugs. We had been living with my sister because we had nowhere else to go but she left and we became homeless. A friend loaned me a bit of money to put a down payment on a piece of land- we then built a very small one there. The 5 of us have been living there and it’s very small.
