Hello, my name is Gaby Escamilla. I write this letter to you confirming the needs that my family has. I’m a single mom to three children, 2 boys and a girl. I work as a waitress in a secondhand market and also at a factory in Tijuana. My life revolves around my children; making sure they get to school, that they have what they need in our home, taking care of my baby. I separated from my youngest child’s father 6 months ago and it’s caused me great emotional distress and insecurity. Our living situation is not great and my finances are very unstable. Sometimes I receive help from the dads of my kids- but sometimes nothing. Everything is so expensive and it’s hard to make ends meet and pay all my bills. Due to my income, I haven’t been able to build a home for our family on my own. Our home is falling apart and is so cold and wet on the inside. My baby is sick all the time.
