Hello, my name is Rocio and I’m originally from Acapulco. My family and I lived in Rosarito together for many years. I did everything I could to work and support my husband as well as look after my children. There came a point when I could no longer handle my husband’s abuse and had to leave. At that point I started looking for a piece of land to buy where my children, granddaughter, and I could live peacefully together. In the beginning I was the only one making money but thankfully my daughter has now found work too. Together we started building a small structure we could live in little by little. It’s hard to make ends meet with so many needs, especially with children in school and those costs.
