Letter from the family:
Hello, my name is Jaqueline and my husband’s name is José Alberto. We have 3 children and have been married for a year now. I was a single mom to my oldest son, Mateo, and then I met my husband. We became pregnant right away with our son, Josue. When this happened, my mother in law offered for us to build above her house so that we didn’t have to keep paying rent elsewhere. This turned out to be a big mistake and caused many relational problems in our extended family. From there, we decided the best decision would be to save up and put a downpayment on a piece of land so that we could eventually start building there. My second son was born and between all the bills we had, we needed to move back in with family but it was miserable. Although I was taking necessary precautions, almost immediately after having my son, I became pregnant for a third time. I felt devastated knowing I could barely take care of the two I already had. With our finances, it has been impossible to move ahead in life. Where we are staying now, it’s freezing cold, we get rained on, and all 3 of my kids are constantly sick. I feel desperate and need your help. We recently found out that my middle son has autism and we know this will put a further financial strain on our family.
