Good day to you, my name is Honorina. My family and I are from the state of Puebla and we have now been in Tijuana for 3 years. We came in search of a better life for our three children; 15, 3, and 2 years old. About 8 months ago we put a down payment on a piece of land which was very hard for us to do with just my husband’s salary. He is a mason and is paid very little for his work. We couldn’t afford to rent somewhere and also make our land payment so we decided to move to our property. We have built a small structure here to get us by until we can figure out a better plan. We constantly get wet because our house was made with scraps and doesn’t keep water out. I don’t like to see my kids cold and suffering.
