Letter from the family: Hello!! My name is Luis Maldonado, my family and I came from the state of Veracruz 5 years ago to Tijuana in search of a better life. My parents still live in Veracruz, they are old and my dad is very sick. We try helping them by sending them some money weekly for their needs. We work selling food in the street markets, when it is not a good week we can’t send them any money. Our desire is to bring them to live with us one day, but we can’t right now because the house we rent is very small. We’ve had our piece of land for two years and I go to work on it to level it whenever I can and on my days off. We’ve been buying wood to try to build something there but we still haven’t been able to. We rent close to the land but our dream is to stop paying rent one day that way we could use that money on other things like continuing helping my parents.
