LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
I am writing to ask for your help in providing a decent home for our family. Despite our best efforts, it has been very difficult for us to build a proper house. Let me tell you a little about us. My husband works as a taxi driver, but the cost of renting a taxi is very high. For a long time we have been paying both rent and the payments for our land, which has made it even harder to save money to build our house. We also have a young daughter with a mental disability who regularly attends therapy, and the cost of her treatment is quite expensive for us. As a result, saving for a house has become almost impossible. However, we believe that you are the answer to our prayers. You have been a light in our lives during these difficult times. I, Gladys, work in sales because I need to be available to take care of my daughter and attend her therapy sessions. Recently we have also been very worried about our relatives who still live in southern Chiapas, a place we had to leave with a heavy heart. It's a very poor area, with few job opportunities, and unfortunately organized crime has entered the region, turning what was once a peaceful place into a dangerous one. It is with all our hearts that we ask you to consider our request. We are a hardworking family, and we truly believe that God has led us to Homes of Hope to help us through this difficult time.
