Dear Homes of Hope team, My name is Montserrath Martínez. I am 25 years old and the mother of two children: César, who is 9, and Jasive Ariel, who is 5. I am their sole provider, as I separated from their father five years ago and receive no support from him. I am reaching out to request your support because I want to provide my children with a safe and stable home. We currently live in a room that was lent to us by my stepfather's daughter. A few months ago, she asked me to leave, and the situation escalated to a legal eviction process. Thankfully, the case was dismissed because there were no legal grounds. I long to give my children a home where we can live in peace and harmony. I moved from Mexico City to Baja California with help from my mother, who supported me in buying a small plot of land. Two years ago, I began working at a factory, where I have a stable job that allows me to pay for our daily expenses and make payments on the land. Having a home of our own would be a true blessing. It would mean we no longer have to live in fear of being forced to leave. This is a part of my story, and I hold on to faith and hope. May God bless you.
