LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope team, I come to you with the hope of requesting your support in obtaining a dignified home. I am a single mother of three children, and my greatest wish is to provide them with a place where they won’t have to suffer from the cold. Unfortunately, the place we currently live in is very cold, and during the rainy season, all of our belongings get wet. I separated from the father of my children due to a situation of verbal and physical abuse brought on by his addictions. I have never received support from him, and since then, I have fought on my own to raise my children. With great effort, I was able to build a small wooden house where we now live; I’m still paying for the materials, but it has allowed me to care for my kids. However, the structure has started to deteriorate, and I no longer have enough income to repair it or to continue stocking the small food stand I rely on to earn a living. I place my faith in God and in you, hoping that this dream of having a safe and dignified home may come true. My children and I would be eternally grateful.
