Dear Homes of Hope team, my name is Ingrid, and I have known Brayan for many years since we worked together and became good friends and coworkers. In 2024, we started a relationship and began to see ourselves as a family; our bond grew stronger when we found out I was pregnant, so we decided to live together and Brayan moved into my home. During my pregnancy, I stayed home while he worked, and it was beautiful to see him come back and talk to the baby growing inside me. Around that time, strong winds caused some boards from our roof to come loose; we tried to cover them with pieces of foam, but it wasn’t enough, and it was very cold. Our baby was born on April 30, and since then, we have been trying to improve our home so that water, wind, scorpions, and spiders can no longer get inside. We thank God that we saw one of your Facebook posts, which inspired us to ask for your support — your help would be a great blessing for our family.
