LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope, we would like to share our story, the challenges we have faced, and, above all, the deep desire we have placed in God's hands: to have a home of our own for our family. We are a family of five with three children. Our oldest son is about to finish high school and will soon begin a new chapter as he prepares to attend university. Our second son currently lives in San Luis Potosí with his biological father, where he is also attending high school; although distance separates us, we remain in constant communication with him. Our youngest daughter, Viktoria, is in second grade. In 2017, we decided to join our lives together. We were both single parents and chose to build a family based on love, mutual support, and a commitment to move forward together. The journey has not always been easy. In 2018, Blanca's pregnancy with Viktoria was considered high-risk, which required her to stop working while I looked for new employment opportunities to support our family. Later, the pandemic brought additional difficulties. Along with some health problems my wife experienced, we discovered that Viktoria has a severe vitamin D deficiency that affects the development of her bones. Because of this condition, she has already suffered two fractures. We have had to pay privately for the medical studies she needs because of administrative difficulties with the Social Security system, which represents a significant and ongoing expense for our family. At the same time, our oldest son will soon be entering university. As parents, we do not want to find ourselves having to choose between caring for our daughter's health and supporting our children's education. Both are essential to their future, and we want to continue doing everything within our means to provide them with those opportunities. We are currently renting a house, but we have already been asked to move out. Thank God, we have a piece of land of our own; however, we do not have the financial resources needed to begin building the walls of our home. For us, building a home would mean much more than no longer having to pay rent. It would provide Viktoria with a stable and peaceful environment while we care for her health, while also allowing us to continue supporting our children's education without having to decide which of their needs we can afford to meet first. This is the future we place in God's hands and continue working toward together as a family. We sincerely appreciate the time you have taken to learn about our story and the generosity with which you bring hope to so many families.
