Dear Homes of Hope, my name is David, and I live with my two children. When I was younger, I decided to come to Tijuana in search of a better future, and that is where I met the mother of my children. Sadly, she passed away, and since then I have continued fighting to give my children the best life possible while also trying to spend as much time with them as I can—I take them to school, cook for them, and wash their clothes. My son Dilan was born with a heart murmur, and he underwent a catheterization procedure to address the issue. This situation has been very draining both emotionally and financially, and the next step will be open-heart surgery. I have faith in God that everything will go well. Because of all this, it has not been possible for me to build a home for my children. I know that God is great and that there are people like you who help those of us in need. Thank you very much.
