LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

Dear Homes of Hope, our family began seven years ago when we met at my workplace. He used to come there to eat, and because he worked as a taxi driver, he would often give me rides home. That is how we got to know each other. Eventually, he asked me out, and a few months later we decided to move in together. At that time, I already had my son, Jesús. During the COVID pandemic, due to the lack of work opportunities, we moved to Colima, and while we were there, I became pregnant with our daughter Naomi. Shortly afterward, my father became seriously ill in Sinaloa, so I went to care for him. Meanwhile, my husband told me that he wanted to return to Tijuana to work. Not long after, he shared something important with me: he had a son who was in the care of DIF, but in order to bring him home, he would also need to take custody of his siblings because they were all part of the same case file. After careful consideration, I agreed, and together we welcomed María Isabel, Brandon, and Anthony into our family. In that way, we gained three more children. For the past five years, we have been a family of seven. I feel incredibly blessed because all of our children get along very well. Even though they are not biological siblings, they love and treat each other as if they were. It is because of our desire to provide them with a stable and secure future that we are reaching out for your support. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to our story.
