LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

Dear Homes of Hope, with great respect, I would like to share our family's story and thank you for the opportunity to be considered by your program. We are a low-income family that moved to Rosarito ten years ago in search of better opportunities and a brighter future. Although our journey has been filled with many challenges, through perseverance, hard work, and God's grace we have gradually been able to move forward. Five years ago, we were blessed with the opportunity to purchase a piece of land, but doing so required us to use all of our savings, making it very difficult to continue paying rent. Thanks to the generosity of our neighbors, who donated wooden pallets, lumber, and metal sheets, we were able to build two small rooms and a bathroom. However, the structure is very fragile, allowing rainwater and strong winds inside, which frequently damages our belongings. My wife has a hearing impairment that significantly affects her daily life. We also have two sons: one is currently attending middle school, while the other had to leave his studies in order to help our family by accompanying his mother to her medical appointments and assisting with household responsibilities. Our greatest hope is to have a safe, sturdy, and dignified home where our family can live with security and peace of mind. Receiving a home would greatly improve our quality of life and give us renewed hope for the future. We sincerely thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering our application. May God continue to bless you abundantly and strengthen the wonderful work you do for families in need.
