LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

Dear Homes of Hope, God bless you! I am originally from Mexico City and I am the mother of four children. I currently live with my two youngest children, while my older children remained in Mexico City. Five years ago, I made the decision to move to Tijuana in search of a new opportunity for us. My two youngest children are from my second relationship. During that time, we went through very difficult circumstances because their father drank heavily and provided very little money for our family's needs. There were times when we went hungry, and we experienced situations that caused us a great deal of physical and emotional suffering. This was what led me to move north, hoping to find work, stability, and a better way to provide for my children. Thank God, when I arrived in Tijuana, I was able to find daycare for my children, which allowed me to begin working. I also started attending a Christian church, where my faith has been an important part of helping me continue moving forward. At first, we rented a place with one of my aunts, and later we were able to rent a place on our own. However, paying rent while covering all of my children's needs has been difficult. When I was laid off from one of my jobs, I received some money that I decided to use for the down payment on a small piece of land. Since then, I have continued making the monthly payments with great effort, and I was able to build a small room there for us. My desire is to continue improving our home and provide my children with a more suitable and stable place to grow up. As a mother, I have tried to keep moving forward despite our circumstances, working hard and making the most of every opportunity God has placed in our path. I sincerely hope you will consider our situation and, if possible, help us continue building this new beginning for my children and me. May God reward you for your generosity and for the work you do for families. May God always bless you.
