Letter from the family:
My name is Elizabeth Chavez. I write to you through this letter to ask for a new home to live in because we do not have the resources necessary to to build a house. We would be so thankful and overwhelmed with your help because we have gone through so much. We used to live in Guerrero, but we came to Tijuana as we could not find good enough work there… what we earned there was not enough for me to provide for my children. In the years I spent in Tijuana I went through lots and lots of hard times, but ended up with land where my husband bought walls and tarps that we set up on the land to create a shelter for our family. Then my husband got sick with a condition that made it very hard for him to move his arms and legs. After a long time, God‘s healing, and many exercises he was able to restore movement. More than anything I just want to be a good mother and to take care of my family and that they would have a safe home to grow up in. I’m so thankful to God that I have my kids that I love so much, they have taught me so much they’re the best thing that has ever happened to me.
