Letter from the family: When we arrived to Tijuana, we came with a hope to be able to have a better life and stay away from the violence that was going on around us, it wasn’t easy, but we decided to purchase a land and start trying to build a new future for our lives and family. We met a family that we call them angels sent from God because they are friends from Hope Zone, and little by little they started sharing about God and how He wanted to have a relationship with us and how we could experience His love for us. The dream of having our own house was just a dream since we have a low income, and it will take a toll in our finances to try to save money for a long time to start building something since we pay rent and pay our land as well. It will be a great blessing to receive a Home of Hope, so we could move there and pay our land being able to give our family a better opportunity in life as well. I hope that you will be able to help us, and may God bless you abundantly.

Letter from the family: Hello my name is Nestor Rodriguez and I come from a little town in the coast of Oaxaca South Mexico, I grew up with a family with very low-income, in a family my mother never approved of me or what I did. My parents we're always arguing, and I got tired, so I found a solution or at least I tried to find a solution, so I turned to drugs and to friends that were a bad influence for me. At the end, my parents got a divorce and my dad was never responsible for us, so I had to get a job in order to provide for my family basic needs. After some time I found the person that I wanted to spend my life with, the love of my life we decided to live together at my mother's house, and it did not end well my mother kicked us out of her house. We were able to find a little place and start our new life everything started to go well but then again I started to be abusive to my wife and I couldn't understand why I was having this behavior, I had to come to an agreement with her and start fixing our problems together.

We had to leave the place where we were living because of problems with the owner, and my mother-in-law help us, we were able to stay with her. My wife wasn't able to have any kids after 5 years of marriage and few months later I got the news that I was going to be dad to my daughter Lia. Because salaries are very low in the south of Mexico we were not able to have enough money to even have food on our table, so I started asking for money getting loans, and then I wasn't able to pay for them, my mother-in-law lend us some money to be able to pay for our debts, afterwards we decided to move to Tijuana with my mother-in-law few months after arriving into Tijuana my wife tells me that she's pregnant again. I thank God that I was able to find a job as soon as I got here, and I was really happy because I was going to be at that again we found a place to rent that it was affordable for us. My mother-in-law decided to purchase the land and encourage us to the same, but we were nervous at the beginning because we did not know if we could afford to make the rent and the land payments, anyhow we decided to go ahead and purchase our land, but with our low income we're not able to build anything that will cover us from the cold and the rain, so we are not able to give my family a suitable place to live. This is the main reason I'm expressing my need and requesting for your help and support to build a home where we are going to be able to give our family a better life.

My name is Janet, my mother and I have suffered a lot since my father really never took care of us he up, and it is not knowing if we were suffering or needing anything. When I was 16 I got married, and I was living a very sad life even though I thought it was going to be different once I started my family. I was suffering a lot because I could not live close to my mother, or I couldn't have any kids, so I asked my mother to ask God to help us and to bless us with our family finally when the time came after five years I was able to have my daughter Leah and two years later I was able to have my second child my mother continued to believe in God, and she taught us to believe Him as well in the marvelous things that he can do for us oh, I know that even through the hard times in the suffering that we have gone through I know that God will be able to help us, and we'll be able to provide for us a home that we can give our family and our children to have a better life. May God bless you, and thank you for taking the time to read about our family story.

Letter from the family:

Good day and thank you for taking the time to read this letter that shares a little about of life and why we are reaching out for some help. There are four members in our family and our story starts seven years ago. We met at my sisters in law wedding and few months later we decided to start living together, we rented a small room, both of us worked, but then I got pregnant with my oldest daughter Ashley that is now five years old and goes to preschool, she will be six years old on November, then I was pregnant with my second child and we decided to move and live in our land that we purchased with all our savings and effort. A neighbor shared about Homes of Hope, and we decided to contact them, to try to qualify for some help, since we really need it to provide my family a better future and life. This February we decided to get legally married and start our story again. My husband is the only support in our home, he works as a cook since I take care of my children full time. We are an incredibly happy family; we stay together through the happy and not so happy moments. Thanks in advance for helping us grow old together knowing that we can provide with your help a better future for our family. May God bless you.

This letter is to share a little about our living situation, we live in a small room in a party venue that we take care of, we don’t have any facilities within the little room that we live in, the bathroom that we use is the one from the venue and when we need to shower it has to be done with buckets inside the same room that we sleep in. There is nothing that we have in our little room, we just have our basic things in it. We decided that with our little savings we were going to give the down payment for our land, in order to give our son a better life opportunity having something that is ours. I appreciate the time you take to help us and the effort that comes with it, we are blessed to be helped by amazing people like you.

TIME IN TIJUANA: 27 Years.

Letter from the family:

Three years ago, I separated from my first husband, Liliana’s dad. I decided to separate from him, because he never wanted to build something for us and achieve anything together, I got a job to encourage him to have saving and start building a small home for us as a family, but it stayed only as plans. I got separated and continued to work and got a second job, because it was my dream to be able to build a house to have better opportunities, I hired a handyman to help me built, but I could only afford to make the foundation and some plumber. At this moment I had the opportunity to manage an OXXO store with my new partner, so we oversaw a store in Rosarito and we started saving again to continue to build. We both were working double shifts and we decided to ask to be transferred to another store in Tijuana to have time to be with my daughter during this time I realized I was pregnant, I went to review my credit score with the government for housing aid, but it was not enough for us to get the aid. The store that we worked at was robbed several times, so we asked for another change of store, but I got maternity leave and the people taking care of the store started handling the finances in a wrong way, so all the shortages were needed to be paid by us as managers. A month before my c-section, I needed to go back to work, because we were supposed to pay all the shortages. During this time, we were living with my mother in her small house, and we could not manage to live there the four us, so I decided to go and rent a house, it was hard because renting meant we would not have any money to build on our land, it came to the point that we worked only to pay debts.

We decided to leave the store in 2020 and I started working in a restaurant three times a week, my husband was hired an UBER driver and I sell things in the swap meet on Tuesdays.

We met HOH personnel at the restaurant when they went to have dinner, after being working there for some time. It has been a constant question since I started the process because I know there are people that needed the help far more then me, but I know God has the perfect timing and purpose. I admire everyone that is part of this ministry and everything that you do to bless each family.

Hello Good morning to whom it may concern, this letter is to share with you our need for a home. The day that we purchased our land all of our savings went into the first payment; some of those savings went into paying four pieces of wood in order to start building something that we could leave in. We were able to build a small room which is in pretty bad conditions because water comes in when it rains through the floor and it leaks through the wood that it's becoming rotten with the humidity, having mice and animals coming into the house through every single opportunity we have not been able to fix it. We have to support both of your children and they have been getting sick because of the mold that is building all around. I would like to ask you for your help and support to achieve a better life for our family. May God bless you.

When it rains it pours and drips everywhere, since the tarp we have as a roof has a lot of rips. Letter from the family:

Hello, Good day, we are the Cuadros Arellano family. I contact with all the faith and hope because I know God has given you many blessings to help as many as possible. I would like to share my story with you and share my heart with you, so seek for help for me and my family. A year and a half ago my husband suffered a motorcycle accident, he was ran over by a car and he wasn’t able to work, so we started a financial crisis, because we haven’t been able to work. Three months ago my mother in law bought a land and gave us half of it, but we have not been able to build anything since we are out of work, we were able to build a mini room that we made with tarps and pieces of wood that were given to us, when it becomes very cold, we have to go to my brother in law house that is across from out land and there is where we use the restroom and shower when needed, that is why I ask you for your help and may God touch your hearts to be able to help us, so my family and children can be raised in a home. May God bless you now and forever.

Letter from the family:

The reason that I am writing to you because on October 2019, I took the decision to turn around for good my son's and my life, since we were in a very stressful and difficult situation that was affecting both of us to the extreme, since my son Dylan Eduardo was always sick, and we couldn't figure out what was causing his sickness. Dylan assisted to The California's Children's Hospital, since he requires special treatment for at least two years in order to keep his asthma under control and rhinitis, but I was only able to afford one dose in September 2020, because after my job became scarce, and I wasn't able to provide and since March 2020 I had my interview with Homes of Hope, but we were entering quarantine and everything was paused. During the interview I was given several phone numbers, and they commented to keep in touch to see where we were standing with our application, some people tried to make me lose hope, but I continued to pray and believing that God was going to help me. In December, I was infected with COVID-19 and had to be away from my son for three months due to his condition. I lost my job at the end of March and someone donated a hot dog cart and started working to support my son and me, but a month ago my mom worsen from her hip and requires a hip prothesis and is five thousand dollars, so I had to stop working there and seek a better opportunity in a restaurant. During all this time I kept in contact with homes of hope never losing the faith that you could be able to help me and built even a small room for my son not to suffer anymore, because we are currently in a mobile home that was lent to us, but it leaks everywhere and since there are holes all around it makes it harder for my son to be ok due to his sickness.
