Family Story:

Rosaria is from Oaxaca but she came to Baja California around 15 years ago.  During this time, she’s been moving around from place to place and in different jobs. She’s been struggling on her own since her husband died 12 years ago in a car accident. Two of her children are still in school, the oldest son graduated and is currently working and helping his mom out financially, the daughter has also finished school but she stays home and takes care of the house while Rosaria works. They were able to start paying for a piece of land and built a small house out of plastic and pieces of cardboard. Life’s been hard for them but that hasn’t been a reason for them to stop dreaming of a place where they can feel safe and live without fear.
