Hi my name is Angelica Escobar Hernandez. I am 29 years old. I’m a single mother of a little one who is two years old, named Maximiliano García Escobar. He is my reason for fighting each day, my inspiration, my strength, my entire life. We currently live in at home with my mother, together with my two brothers. I came to live with my mother after my separation from my ex-partner. There were no rooms available for me and my son, so they accommodated me where they were going to make the laundry room. It’s small, about 7 feet by 6 feet. A single bed and a space to put our clothes is all that fits. I don’t have much space for toys for my baby. His things are in the main living room and it’s uncomfortable for me because I invade everyone else’s space. My child can’t play freely. At night he doesn’t sleep well and moves around a lot and we don’t have a lot of space and don’t fit well in the bed.
I would love and I deeply desire to be able to have a homes of hope for myself and my son. I have been dreaming for years for the day, God willing, when we live in one together.
With all my heart I ask your help to have our own home where we can live and find a better space fro my baby.
