Hi, my name is Maria de la Luz Gutierrez Chapparro. The reason I write this letter to is to explain a little bit of our situation to you and why we need your help. My husband, my 3 children, and our 2 grandchildren live in a single room together. We have tried looking for something bigger but the rent is just too expensive. We decided instead to save money up to use as a down payment for a property. It was very hard to do but we did it. My husband and I are older, our greatest desire is to provide something comfortable and nice to our family- something that we can leave them with some day. Living in a smaller room made of wood has been difficult, sometimes it is so cold. It has been a battle. We haven’t lost our hope to have something nicer and bigger for our family. We just want to feel protected. We really need your help, we do not have the resources on our own to move forward.
