My name is Beatriz and my husband’s name is Eduardo. Our family has three beautiful daughters and another one on the way (due to be born any day). My oldest daughter is named Mylee, then Valerie, next Emely, and our future baby is named Elizabeth. In this moment, our family is starting over again from zero. One year ago we moved to Baja California when my husband was deported from the US, he lived there for a very long time. This new was of living has not been easy for any of us. We have faith that our sacrifice to remain together as a family in all the good and bad is the best decision because we are fighting together. Our greatest desire is to give our daughters a better life but that has been very hard because we make so little money. We know God will not leave us. Where we live currently is a very small and humble home, when the weather is bad, we have had to seek better shelter protection. It’s sad for us to see how we have failed our daughters, but knowing that at least we are together adds sweetness to my soul. To bathe, we ask permission to use my husband’s stepfather’s house. We don’t own a lot because we know we could lose everything if it rains or if there are strong winds. Even on the hardest of days, my husband always gets up to go find work. I am a stay at home mom, making sure my daughters have what they need and make it to and from school. We all sleep on the same mattress together, we have no kitchen and eat our meals days by day with nowhere to store food. When we heard about Homes of Hope, an immense joy filled our hearts.
