Hello, my name is Grisel and I’m 26 years old. I’m a widow with a 4 year old son, his name is Hazael. I’m thankful to be able to write you this letter and hope that you can help my family. We are in a very difficult financial situation after losing my husband, Emanuel, to tuberculosis. I was trying so hard to work and come up with money for all of his treatments but it was never enough. We at times have not been able to eat because all our money was going towards my husband’s treatment. We did all we could but lost him on February 10th of this year. We have just been surviving since he passed. Thankfully our pastors are letting us stay with them because they know all about our situation. My pastors also are very poor but they still have chosen to help us. I became behind in my land payments and also almost lost that. My sister came to my aid and has been helping me make the payments, thankfully. Honestly, I feel I have nothing. I just started work 3 weeks ago at a factory and I’m working to save up money again.
