Hello, my family and I are originally from southern Mexico but we decided to move to Rosarito, hoping for a better life. Jobs in the south don’t pay as well as the jobs in northern Mexico. My husband and I both work but it’s never enough to cover all of our needs. My husband is a taxi driver and I work in a curtain making factory. My husband has thyroid issues and also diabetes, both cause severe problems with his sight. About 6 months ago we had the opportunity to put a down payment on a piece of land. Rent has become too expensive in our area and we needed to consider another option. We were gifted some wood and also purchased what we could to build a small, temporary structure on our property.
