Letter from the family:
First, thank you for the opportunity to write this letter of petition! My name is Judith, I have two sons, and I’m a widow. For work I sell delicious tamales and elotes. I feel very desperate and I’m trying to remember that God is the one who puts everything into order. When my husband was still alive, we had a piece of property we were paying on with a trailer there that had been loaned to us. When my husband died, his family took the trailer back from us. We were homeless for a time, my two sons and I. I currently have two walls up on my property and I’m trying to work towards building something there for us. I don’t like asking for help but it seems no matter what I do, I can never get ahead. There’s a lot of uncertainty in our lives and I just want to offer my sons something better. Thank you.
