We are a family of 3 Mexican residents Originally from El Salvador, We emigrate to Mexico trying to save our lives we were being threatened by the gangs because I refused to helped them. At that time I just had become a widow and felt very vulnerable I was struggling, the day I got threatened I went home and only picked what was necessary and left, for two weeks was visiting family and friends not being able to share with anybody the situation, I gather as much money as I could and left the country starting our journey to Mexico, once in Mexico I went to an NGO and asked for help finding refuge in Baja California, a year later we received our residency, we have been renting ever since and one day I decided to ask if I could apply for a home, I worked in a restaurant for a while until I found out about the weekend market in the colonias and started my own business selling cell phone accessories I’m getting about $4000 pesos a week, currently we live in a small room of 10’by 10’ and we would love to have our home place that we can call our home again.
