Letter from the family:
I applied for a Homes of Hope because I have a dream of having my own home, a place that is dignified where I can have my children grow up, even though they are my grandchildren that I am taking care of. I feel a need to make sure they have a better future. These are my son’s children from different mothers. The oldest girl has always been with me ever since her mom left with another man. She suffered abuse and was in DIF (government social services) but thanks to God, we did everything possible to be able to get her out of the system and into our care.
Later my son had another child with another woman, but she had drug problems and DIF took her son away but thanks to God, they gave me the chance as his grandma to take care of him. We had to go through a long process but thanks to God they gave us back our grandson.
This is why I am asking for a Homes of Hope house, so that these children can have a home that they deserve, a place where they can have a future without worrying that one day they will end up on the streets. Something that I can offer them is a warm place where they feel safe and and peace and tranquility, so that they can keep moving forward without fear in their lives.
I know that there are so many people out there like me with the same dream, but still I don’t lose faith and hope to be able to have the best for my family. I am so thankful to you for making so many people happy, may God bless you to continue doing this.
