LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope team, I write this letter with my faith placed in God and in you. I have been living in Tijuana for 14 years; I’m originally from Guadalajara. Six years ago, God gave me the greatest purpose of my life: to care for my three nephews, for whom I now have legal custody granted by DIF. We currently live in Zona Norte in an apartment where I am allowed to stay in exchange for domestic chores and caring for an elderly man. Unfortunately, the situation has become very difficult, as this man is often verbally abusive and aggressive toward my nephews—sometimes kicking us out or hiding their toys. We have no relatives here in Tijuana who can take us in, and this living situation is emotionally exhausting. The children are already being affected by the toxic environment. That is why I humbly ask for your help, with the hope of having a place we can call our own—a peaceful, safe, and happy home for the four of us. Blessings and thank you very much.
