LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope team, I am a single mother of two children; my oldest just finished middle school, and my youngest is in kindergarten. Two years ago, I separated from their father, although we are still legally married because I haven’t been able to complete the process. I work selling goods at the street market, and for the past eight months, I’ve been living in a small wooden room on my land. One day, I came home and discovered that everything had been stolen. Not long after, the room collapsed—we lost everything: our home, furniture, clothes. We had nowhere to live. Some nights we slept in the car, other nights with my sister or my aunt. The enemy didn’t just destroy my marriage, he attacked us in every way. But the most wonderful thing about God is that He transforms everything. He placed the right people in our lives—people who gave us food, clothes, shoes, and a job. Thanks to them, we were able to return home. That was two years ago, and since then, through great effort, we managed to rebuild a room. But we still live with the uncertainty and fear that it could all happen again. I long to give my children a safe and stable place to call home—they have been through so much. I know that God is in control of their lives and mine, and although He sometimes allows hardship, I trust that His plans are perfect.
