Dear Homes of Hope team, we are a young couple who have faced many challenges since deciding to build a life together. When our daughter was born, my husband could no longer care for his brother, which led to a very tense family situation. Since then, we have worked hard to acquire a plot of land and, through loans and effort, we built a small room that serves as our refuge, although it still lacks many basic needs. A year ago, our daughter was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and early puberty. Sadly, she has experienced bullying, discrimination, and abuse, and it has been frustrating as parents to hear that people don't want to deal with her condition. She is on medication and attends appointments at Clinics 1 and 20, along with psychological care that the public healthcare system (IMSS) does not cover. Because of all these expenses, we haven’t been able to improve our living space, which still has a dirt floor and a tarp roof. Some days are very difficult and leave us feeling hopeless. When we learned about your program through Facebook, we felt renewed hope in being able to request your support. With faith and all our heart, we ask for your help in giving our daughter a safe, dignified home. We have nothing material to offer in return—only our deepest and most sincere gratitude.
