Dear Homes of Hope team, we are a family of four, and we are reaching out with the hope of receiving your support to have a dignified home. We arrived in Baja California three years ago with the dream of building a better future for our son, since in our hometown there were very few job opportunities. We moved to Rosarito and began working hard. After two years of effort, we managed to buy a small plot of land. With much hope, we poured a concrete slab and started building a room, but we couldn’t finish it because I became pregnant and had to stop working. Covering all expenses alone has been very difficult for my husband. We moved onto the land and started selling food from home to get by. Shortly after, my husband lost his job due to layoffs, so now we both sell food together. We don’t have a stable income — some days are good, others not so much. These have been difficult times, which is why we humbly ask for your help to have a proper house where our children can grow up safely and with stability.
