LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope team, about four years ago, we arrived in Tijuana from Guerrero with many dreams and goals to grow as individuals and build a better future. We are asking for your support because a year and a half ago, we had the opportunity to acquire a property through payments, and we accepted it with the hope of moving in after paying the down payment. Our plan was to build a small wooden room, since we are a small family, but things didn’t go as expected. Our little boy had to undergo emergency surgery for two hernias because he couldn’t keep food down and one night he was in severe pain, so we had to rush him to the ER. Since the public hospital didn’t have a pediatrician available, we had to go to a private clinic. Thankfully, our baby is now healthy, but financially we haven’t been able to recover. We currently live in a high-risk area near a ravine with wild animals and no drainage or septic system, which makes hygiene and safety difficult. We turn to you with the hope of being able to leave this place and give our children a safe and clean home. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your attention and for the hope you give to so many families. We trust that God will repay you for all you do.
