We’ve been together for 6 years, and 4 years ago our little girl was born. That changed our mindset—we realized we had to work even harder so she could have a better future. We didn’t grow up in a house of our own, and it excites us to think that she might. That’s why we made the down payment on a piece of land, but we never imagined how expensive it would be to build. We currently live in a trailer that my boss gave us, but it’s too small for the three of us.
