LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope team, My name is Grecia Osuna. My husband, Ángel Cossio, and I have two sons, José and Gabriel. We feel truly grateful and blessed to be considered for this opportunity to build our home with your support. Over the past five years of marriage, we have faced many challenges, including being victims of a land fraud that cost us around $10,000 dollars after three years of payments. Thankfully, with the new piece of land we acquired, the experience was different. We received the property immediately and were able to start building a small room measuring 4 meters wide by 5.5 meters long, along with a bathroom that still lacks flooring due to our financial limitations. We had to take out a loan, and we currently pay $2,000 pesos weekly, leaving our budget very tight. Nevertheless, we are grateful to God and to you for the beautiful work you do. We remember with emotion and even tears how we first arrived at the land, living together as a family in a tent while my husband worked to complete the room. When the rains came, everything inside got soaked, as we still lack the protective roofing paper. To move forward, I sold some personal belongings at a street market and took a small loan to buy the necessary materials to prevent further flooding. We do not see these hardships as obstacles but as part of our journey toward a better future.
