LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

I am a single mother of four children. I separated from their father in October 2024 due to his infidelities. We used to live in a trailer located on my land, but part of it encroached onto the neighbor’s property. When we tried to move it, the trailer split in half, so we were forced to leave. We are now living in a borrowed house. During this time of transition, I have been praying a lot, believing and trusting in God. When I heard about Homes of Hope, I saw it as an answer to my prayers. I have been a Christian since childhood—God knows my heart and knows I didn’t want to separate from my children’s father. I still pray for him because I believe God desires families to stay together. I work at Casa de Luz in the nursery. Right now, the father of my children is in prison in the United States, so I am the sole provider for my household. I cover the land payments, household expenses, and my children’s school costs. This is why I have not been able to begin building a home. One of my children has ADHD. He goes to therapy and requires medication, which is very expensive. To cover these costs, I also work extra hours at the local market. My children and I have a little corner where they put up their drawings. We have been praying together for a new house and a car. We know that God’s timing is perfect. There is a verse that has accompanied me during this season: Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Thank you for taking the time to listen to my story.
