Dear Homes of Hope team, I am writing on behalf of my family, which includes my partner, my daughter, and the baby I am expecting. We currently live with my mother, and our plot of land is located right next to hers. In my mother’s house live my brother, my mom, and our family. Unfortunately, my brother struggles with drug addiction, which causes many problems. I understand that, as his mother, she tries to tolerate it, but he has already lost his own family and can spend months locked inside the house consuming harmful substances. I don’t want my daughter to grow up witnessing this, and when we try to speak up, he becomes very violent toward us. We hold onto the hope of moving forward with the mobile taco business my partner recently started. Thank you sincerely for giving us this opportunity.
