Dear Homes of Hope team, I write to you with deep respect and admiration for the meaningful work you do, bringing hope to those of us who need it most. I would like to share a bit of my story and explain why I am seeking your help. Three years ago, we had to leave Honduras due to direct threats from a gang; fearing for our safety, we left everything behind in search of protection. When we arrived in Chiapas, we applied for political asylum and stayed there for a year while the process moved forward. We later moved to Tijuana, where we have now lived for two years. We are currently living in very limited conditions, as our income is not enough to cover all basic needs. I am responsible for paying the rent and covering transportation so our children can attend school, while my partner helps with food, water, electricity, and payments on a piece of land where we hope to live someday. We sincerely appreciate any support you can offer us.
